Hey all, I'm currently in the San Francisco airport taking advantage of the free wifi! I'm still recovering from the hot mess that was finals week, but never mind that, I finished my last exam last night and still managed to pack up, do laundry, mail packages, order prints, grab dinner with my friend, wrap presents, say my goodbyes, and save a little room for dessert -- all before I left campus at 3am to catch my ridiculously early flight.
Anyway, thank you for the wonderful cards and gifts. If you're expecting a card from me, I probably won't be able to mail those out until after I return to the US, on the 17th. I'm terribly sorry that I haven't been able to comment or reply to anything. (If it gives you any idea, I think I clocked a grand total of 12 hours of sleep this past week? Sleeping on library chairs and desks for a week? Don't recommend it.)
Well, I just wanted to say a quick hello and happy holidays before I left for Thailand! Hope the holidays are lovely for you all!

as the end of the year approaches, i've begun pondering resolutions for the new year. this year, i'm aiming to a) reduce my carbon footprint b)strengthen my resume and c)practice living in and for the moment. Since the best resolutions are specific and often quantifiable goals rather than general ideas, I'd like some help fleshing out (attainable) goals for the new year. So far I'm thinking:
a) I will buy secondhand whenever possible (a bike, textbooks, clothes, movies, so on)
b) I will add (or level up) at least 1 skill, 1 activity and 1 group / organization to my resume before the end of the new year.
c) ??? This is where i need the most help, c'mon guys. I know you know how to do this, your journals are always bursting with your day to day awesomeness. any suggestions on fail proof ways to spice up my life?
is anyone else making resolutions?

Hey all, I'm smack-dab in the middle of studying and finals right now, I'll be leaving for Thailand next week, I won't be back in the States until mid-January, and I haven't the foggiest idea if LJ is banned in China, so I'm terribly sorry if I go AWOL within the next few weeks!
Anyway, over the weekend, I went to the WIRED Holiday Store, which is this showcase hosted by WIRED Magazine featuring the latest and funkiest gadgets, plus a bunch of nifty toys, clothes, games, etc. It was totally worth the trip to the Meatpacking District that I had to post photos!
Exhibit A of Niftiness: this citrus-powered digital clock. Yes, a clock that runs on a lemon. No joke!
